How Does The NLiteŽ System for Wrinkle Reduction through Laser Collagen Replenishment Work? The NLiteŽ system for wrinkle reduction through laser collagen replenishment uses a specific wavelength of yellow laser light to stimulate your own collagen growth. The procedure is non-ablative, which means it does not cut or burn the outermost layer of skin. Instead, the laser targets the layers of collagen beneath the skins surface. No anesthesia is necessary for this procedure, and normal treatment time is less than 30 minutes, depending on the size of the area and the number of wrinkles to be treated. The majority of people cannot see any visible marks on their skin after the procedure. You can then return to your normal activities without feeling self-conscious or worrying if anyone can tell you have just had a cosmetic procedure. Is the treatment painful? There is little to no pain, no need for anesthesia, and generally minimal to no post-operative care. Patients say that they experience a slight warming of the skin that lasts for a brief period after treatment
Who should consider this treatment? NLiteŽ treatment is appropriate for adults of all ages, both men and women. Unlike traditional laser therapy for wrinkle reduction, which can be used only on fair skin, NLiteŽ can be used on most skin types. Use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and continuous use of low-dose aspirin can or may be contraindications to the treatment.
